Oops.
Umm so yeah... I kind of haven't posted in a million years. My bad. Anyways, while digging through the records at the Salvation Army on Saturday morning, I stumbled across something AWESOME. I found a first edition recording of Orson Welles War of the Worlds. After the wonderful 50% off sale, I payed a whopping 25 cents. Even though it's all scratched up and doesn't play well, it's pretty cool to be able to hear parts of something that changed a bit of history.

i listened to that in highschool and thought it was pretty cool then the movie came out, but the audio is way better
ReplyDeleteThat is a great find... I love the controversy that thing caused when it first came out
ReplyDeleteThat's awesome! I have the recording on CD and it's really neat, but it's not every day that you find a first edition lying around.

I have only heard a little bit of it in one of my classes but it was interesting and i would like to one day hear the whole thing.
