I've been called out a bunch of times recently on my total lack of movie/tv watching. I guess that being a Communications major with a concentration in media studies I should probably start watching some movies and tv. Probably a good plan...
i know you use the interent a good amount, and there is more forms of communication online then movies and television, even though you can do bot of these things through the internet.
Hi, Thank you for sharing how you feel about watching TV or movies due to being a media studies student. I have to tell you that I didn’t watch TV for over fifteen years. I used to read all my news. The stories may be the same, but we can chose how we take in our news. I only watch what I’m assigned as homework. I like movies, but not all the time. So you may ask, why I am in Media Studies. To learn! As for watching TV, I just have basic cable, and that’s only because I have to know what’s going on with local meetings and local city hall stuff. Other than that I wouldn’t even have TV. Hey, but that’s just me. Debbie
You aren't really missing out on much by not watching television. Like everyone has been saying, there are plenty of other ways to take in news and other media. Besides, reality television has seemed to infiltrate nearly every channel anyways. I personally do not watch nearly as much tv as I used to. The only time I tend to put television on is to watch one of the movie channels. I don't really see any shows on anymore that interest me.
not watching tv or movies is better than having them run your life like they do mine, i watch the same 10 movies at least 50 times a year now thats bad
I DON'T THINK YOU SHOULD GIVE UP READING BECAUSE THE TEXT IS THE BLUEPRINT FOR TV AND MOVIES. I WOULD SAY YOU SHOULD START WATCHING MORE MOVIES WITH A HANDSOME DEVIL... "COUGH" RYAN "COUGH"
There's way too much stuff out there to try to see everything--but I think it's awesome to jump in SOMEWHERE and see where it takes you. Hopefully courses like this one offer up some possibilities for you to explore on your own.... Upper-division film/tv classes too will get you to jump in and get in depth in some areas you might not have thought about before....
